Lab Tech Intern


Provide support and continuously improve all laboratory processes assigned to the laboratory. Utilize good laboratory practice. Perform the calibration, inspection, and measuring of test equipment to satisfy all plant requirements.

Continuously improve customer satisfaction through the support of on-time shipment and delivery, customer service, the reduction of customer complaints, and consistency of product quality.? Support and foster the corporate mission statement and quality policy, while supporting a positive work environment.

20 hours Per Week


  • Actively follow health, safety, and environmental regulations in the laboratory and throughout the facility and report any safety issues immediately to management.

  • Assist management by maintaining the security of the laboratory and the plant throughout each shift, as instructed.

  • Follow all laboratory operating procedures, work instructions, and forms relating to safety, and laboratory processes, including, but not limited to, the safe handling and storing of chemicals and solvents.

  • Lab Safety

  • Maintain a well-organized lab notebook.

  • Care for laboratory equipment assets.

  • Responsible for quality testing and certification of products and filing of C of A?s.

  • Responsible for running standard LMG lab reactions

  • Responsible for utilizing ISO 9001 procedures that apply to laboratory functions:? calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment and final inspection and testing.

  • Standardize solutions and calibrate equipment according to schedule.

  • Responsible for properly handling and storing lab solvents and chemicals.

  • Properly record and store retain samples so they are readily accessible.

  • Keep the laboratory in a neat and organized manner.

  • Other work as assigned by appropriate management.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with lab policies and procedures, assignment of responsibilities and tracking progress.



  • 2 years of chemistry of a related science with lab experience.

  • Familiarity with standard lab glassware and equipment.

  • Familiarity with general chemistry concepts such as titrations, distillations, pressure filtration and dilutions.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Personal computer, and Windows experience including word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Time management.

  • Must have the ability at all times to reach all work areas in the plant (i.e. climb ladders, walk catwalks, handle heights to 50 feet, etc.) to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. or to open and close large valves, to don emergency equipment, and to expeditiously evacuate if required.

  • Due to safety sensitive nature of job, must pass regular and routine chemical dependency test.


  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel software.

  • Training or certification in a quality management system.

  • Background in SPC, ISO 9001 quality system, and continuous improvement.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
