Shop Foreman

Job Summary:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of assemblers, mechanics, shipping & receiving, and testing in the shop to ensure conformance to Company standards and meet production specifications and requirements.
Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities:
Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, programs and regulations.
Manage local safety program within established guidelines, complete and submit monthly safety reporting and conduct safety meetings.
Ensure all equipment is in working order and serviced as required and maintain good housekeeping in the branch facility.
Diagnose problems and recommend or implement appropriate solutions.
Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets Company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time of shop employees.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Performs activities of workers supervised.
Requirements:
Education, Training, Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
None required
Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Working knowledge of API Standards and specific Sections experience.
Intermediate Computer Skills
Advanced Language Skills, Intermediate Mathematical Skills and Intermediate Reasoning Ability
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly manage a team of shop personnel. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk and sit; talk and hear.
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Ability to clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noise.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
